"ARMENTEL" ANNOUNCED ABOUT PUTTING GPRS INTO COMMERCIAL OPERATION

Yerevan, May 15 /Mediamax/. "ArmenTel" mobile operator announced
today about putting a GPRS-package (mobile internet) into operation
for contractual subscribers.

Mediamax reports that the General Commercial Director of "ArmenTel"
Armen Simonian stated in Yerevan today that the new service will allow
subscribers using GPRS and WAP services anywhere within the coverage of
"ArmenTel" in the territory of Armenia.

The cost of 1MB of data transfer/receipt of GPRS makes 90 drams (VAT
included), and the cost for 10KM data transfer/receipt of WAP – 30
drams (VAT included). The monthly subscriber fee will make 360 drams.

Armen Simonian noted that in the nearest future the "GPRS-package"
will become available for the subscribers of pre-paid system as well.

The presentation of the "Center for Express-Maintenance" of "ArmenTel"
Company and its first official distributor – "Macro-Yerevan" Company,
took place in Yerevan today.

Director of "ArmenTel" for Public Relations Hasmik Chutilian informed
that the new Center will be connecting to pre-pay tariff plans, selling
recharge cards, etc. Cell phones will also be sold in the Center.

Starting from June 1, signing of contracts with subscribers of pre-pay
system will be realized in the Center.

Starting from May 15, "ArmenTel" implemented a new pre-pay tariff
plan – "Summer Nights".

General Commercial Director of the Company Armen Simonian stated today
that the given special offer will be functioning for those subscribers,
who will activate the Mini Easy pre-pay card from May 15.

He noted that the users of the given tariff plan , from 24:00 to 07:59,
will be paying 3 drams for a minute of conversations and sending SMS
within "ArmenTel" mobile network.
