"HERITAGE" NOT CONTENT WITH PROCESS AND RESULTS OF PARLIAMENTAERY ELECTIONS

YEREVAN, MAY 14, NOYAN TAPAN. The "Zharangutyun" ("Heritage") party
is not content with the process and results of the parliamentary
elections. This is said in the party’s press release submitted to
NT. ""Although the May 12 voting is a step forward compared with the
previous ones, however, it is not such elections that the Armenian
people deserves. When democratic forces come to power in our country,
such shameful elections will become history," the press release notes.
According to "Heritage", both the pre-election period and the
voting day were full of examples of unequal conditions and many
other violations. It is noted that representatives of "Heritage"
registered an atmosphere of fear in many settlements, and 90-91%
of results in favor of some or other party in many polling stations
(especially in rural areas) give a cause for serious consideration.
"It should be also noted that unfortunately, the opposition failed to
involve in the process more widely those citizens who supported it. The
authorities in their turn failed to keep the pre-election period free
of dictation of unequal conditions," the press release says.
