IMPEACHMENT ALLIANCE REPRESENTATIVE TO START ON MAY 16 TWENTY-FOUR-HOUR SIT-DOWN STRIKE IN AZATUTIAN SQUARE OF YEREVAN

YEREVAN, MAY 16, NOYAN TAPAN. Nikol Pashinian starts on May 16 a
twenty-four-hour sit-down strike in Azatutian (Liberty) square of
Yerevan, "What I do is not a hopeless step, but it is a step against
hopelessness. That hopelessness which made a person waive his right
of the coutry citizen, country authority to one-two criminals. It is
also an action of hope, optimism and implementation of that promise
that we shall not adjust ourselves to this situation and we shall do
everything that depends on us to inherit the country we dreamed of to
our children," Haykakan Zhamanak (Armenian Time) daily and Impeachment
alliance representative said.

A paper of A4 format will be fastened overhead of him during the
sit-down strike. It will be written on it "1+". In N. Pashinian’s
words, those RA citizens who understand the danger of the situation
created in the country, taking with them a paper of A4 format with
"1+" on it, can come to Azatutian square and fasten them near the
papers to be there, as a sign of the fact that they are not going to
adjust themselves to reality obliged by the authorities, are ready to
come out to struggle against the boundlessness. "… we shall attempt
to cover whole Azatutian square, whole Yerevan, whole Armenia with
"1+1+1+1…" formula, making every RA citizen a participant of this
agreement," N. Pashinian said.
