It is still early to talk about the creation of a coalition government
in Armenia. Presently, the Republican party is holding negotiations
and is ready to cooperate with any political force, RA Prime Minister,
Republican party leader Serzh Sargsyan told journalists today.
He answered positively to the question about Vardan Oskanyan’s
stay in the new government as Foreign Minister. Asked by ArmInfo
correspondent about the possible changes in the new government’s
structure, S. Sargsyan said that serious changes are expected and
the negotiations are presently underway. Asked if the pro-Western or
pro-Russian forces entered the Parliament, RA PM said: "The RPA and
me personally were always pro-Armenian. We have always claimed we
shall receive 25 and more percents and now, in view of the available
results, we think we worked well and no one of us has giddiness".
Estimating the parliamentary election, he emphasized that no one
considers there were no omissions during the election, however, there
are no ideal parliamentary election in any country. "The RPA is glad
and our goal is for the next election to be estimated by the European
observers as fully meeting the standards", S. Sargsyan said. To note,
the RPA gathered 32,9% of votes by the proportional system and 23%
by the majority one.
