LACHIN’S OCCUPATION COMMEMORATED

The 15th anniversary of the occupation of Azerbaijani region of Lachin
by Armenian military forces was commemorated today in the Alley of
Martyrs with the participation of the region’s executive power and
public organizations, APA reports.
The head of Lachin Executive Power Elbrus Tahmazov garlanded on
"Eternal Torch Complex" on the behalf of ceremony attendees.
Deputy Chief of Region Executive Power Arif Feyzullayev told the APA,
262 people were killed, about 100 civilians were missing during the
battle for Lachin. He also underlined that Armenian Armed Forces
captured 36 people during the occupation of the region. Feyzullayev
said they believe that Lachin will be liberated.
"Azerbaijan can not exist without Lachin, all the occupied regions
of Azerbaijan should be liberated," he said.
Garabagh Liberation Organization held the analogical event. Head of
Garabagh Liberation Organization Akif Nagi expressed dissatisfaction
with the negotiations for the solution to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict
and called for the Azerbaijani leadership to start military operations
for the liberation of the occupied territories. GLO head said that
they should not rely on international organizations regarding the
liberation of occupied regions.
