/PanARMENIAN.Net/ There were no Armenians and Azeris involved in
the scuffle on the territory of the Peoples’ Friendship University
of Russia (PFUR) after Patrice Lumumba, Chairman of the Youth
Association of the UAR (Union of Armenians in Russia) Moscow branch
Levon Moukounyan stated to the PanARMENIAN.Net journalist. "On May 17
a traditional festival of Russia’s nations was held in PFUR, where
no Armenians and Azeris participated, since they are not Russian
nations. The fight broke out between Kabardinians, during which one
of them received knife wounds," Moukounyan said.
According to Russian media students from Peoples’ Friendship
University of Russia again were fighting on the Miklukho-Maklaya
Street. According to law enforcement bodies one of the participants
of the fight was taken to hospital with knife wounds. The fight was
organized by immigrants from Caucasus. And the immediate cause of the
scuffle was a political dispute: which country owns Nagorno Karabakh –
Armenia or Azerbaijan?
