PR-EXPERT OFFERS TO CHANGE CONSUMER NOTION OF ARMENIA WITH INTERACTIVE ONE ABROAD

is known only by the Genocide and less by the conflict in Nagorno
Karabakh, German expert of PR-technologies with Armenian descent
Dr. Vazrik Bazil stated to a press conference in Yerevan. He said,
Armenia, her culture and modern public life was best presented at
the World Exhibition in Hanover in 2000.

"Almost nothing is being done from then on. Few people know about the
Armenian culture and traditions in Germany. Unfortunately, Armenians
treat the culture in consumer way: there are no thematic exhibitions,
nothing is on the way to propaganda Armenian culture and history. All
these reflected on perception of the country in the eyes of the western
society," Vazrik Bazil stressed, offering to change consumer notion
of Armenia with interactive one abroad. In particular, he offered to
present the national and historic values of the country via modern
methods and technologies. V. Bazil said the idea of "game" plays a
very important role here. Say, the same national dances, history of
the country will be better perceived by the audience if presented
via game elements. Vazrik Bazil also underlined, for example, an
ordinary European citizen will not perceive that the circle dance has
Armenian origin – it can be an African or Turkish dance for him. "We
must show that it is namely an Armenian dance. And like this in all
spheres. Armenians of Diaspora and Armenia confuse the notions of
past and traditions – here lies the main mistake of presenting the
country abroad," the German political scientist said.
