Several people were injured in the result of the May 20 stripping in
Teryan Street, Gyumri. According to official sources, two passers-by
were injured.

Sona Truzyan, the Press Secretary of the RoA Prosecutor General,
states that Hamaspyur Mnatsakanyan (b. in 1933), a resident of Gyumri,
and Norayr Aloyan (b. in 1979) were injured.

On May 20, Norayr Aloyan underwent an operation at Gyulbenkyan Surgery,
Gyumri. Doctors state his condition is not grave.

Remedial forces found 2 bullets and 28 cartridge-cases on the site. On
the same day, at 8:30 p.m., a damaged black "Hummer H-2" 44 SS 440
was found at Avtokayan 104/118. The car de jure belongs to Artyom
Ghukasyan, a relative of Vardan Ghukasyan, the Gyumri Mayor. De facto
the owner of the car is Spartan Ghukasyan, Vardan Ghukasyan’s son.

An action was brought in the Shirak Prosecutor’s Office.

As we have already informed our readers, Vardan Ghukasyan, the
son of the Gyumri Mayor, was at loggerheads with one of the sons
of Artashes Sargsyan, the former head of the Marzpetaran Urban
Development Department and the head of the "Prosperous Armenia"
regional office. The skirmish took place near Pegas shop belonging
to the Sargsyans.

According to some sources, the conflict has economic.

Others state the conflict has political background: the Ghukasyans
adhere to the Prosperous Armenian and the Sargsyans -to the
Republicans.

It is noteworthy that both the witnesses and the sufferers refuse to
give testimony.
