Azeri Press Agency, Azerbaijan
May 22 2007

Dr. Nikolai Zlobin, director of the Russia and Eurasia Project at the
World Security Institute said the Nagorno Karabakh conflict will not
find its solution soon, APA reports.

He said both presidential elections in Azerbaijan and Armenia as
well as those in US and Russia will cause delays in the settlement
of the problem.

According to him, if any of the parties to the conflict try to use
force, it will face severe reaction from the US and Russia.

The expert said Armenia falls behind Azerbaijan in terms of integration
into global processes and economic development.

Nikolai Zlobin also said Kosovo would not become a model for the
settlement of conflicts in the territory of former Soviet Union.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
