AS OF THE END OF THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2007, UNISTREAM TURNOVER IN ARMENIA MADE $ 92,5MLN

Yerevan, May 23 /Mediamax/. As of the end of the first quarter of 2007,
the turnover of UNIstream money transfer system in Armenia reached $
92,5mln, which is 1.7 times more, as compared to the index of the
same period of 2006.
As Mediamax was told in the press service of Unibank, the volume of
transactions of the system in 2006 almost doubled as compared to 2005,
thus making $ 413,3mln.
According to the data of the Central Bank of Armenia, the largest
segment of the market of money transfers in Armenia – over 47% –
falls on the share of UNIstream.
Commenting on the high speeds of growth of business in the republic,
Chairman of "Unibank" CJSC Board Vartan Ataian stated that Armenia
is one of the most dynamically developing segments of the CIS money
transfer market. According to him, in 2007, UNIstream plans to reach
a turnover of $600mln in Armenia.
