POLISH MINISTER OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS VISITS MOTHER SEE OF HOLY ETCHMIADZIN

ETCHMIADZIN, JUNE 1, NOYAN TAPAN. On May 30, the Catholicos of All
Armenians Karekin II accompanied by RA Chief Police Officer Hayk
Haroutiunian and Ambassadors of the two countries, in Etchmiadzin
received Janus Kaczmarek, Polish Minister of Internal Affairs, who
was in Armenia on an official visit. This was reported to Noyan Tapan
by the Information Service of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
Welcoming the visit of high-ranking guest to the Mother See, His
Holiness affirmed with appreciation that the relations and cooperation
between the two countries get deeper and record still new achievements,
comprising different spheres of our life. His Holiness particularly
expressed his satisfaction with the considerate attitude displayed
towards the Armenian community in Poland.
"We are greatly impressed by the belief of the Polish people", noted
His Holiness, touching upon the interchurch cooperation between the
Armenian Apostolic and the Roman church and greeting cardinal Glemp.
At the end of the meeting Karekin II addressed his best wishes to
the Polish Minister of Internal Affairs and RA Chief Police Officer,
wishing them fruitful cooperation and successful implementation of
good projects and co-activities.
Bishop Arshak Khachatrian, Head of Information Service of the Mother
See, was present at the meeting.
