RUSSIA JURY ACQUITS KILLER OF ARMENIAN YOUTH

MOSCOW, June 1 (ITAR-TASS) – A jury in the Moscow regional court has
passed an acquitting verdict in a criminal case on the murder of an
Armenian, Artur Sardaryan.
"The jurors by a majority vote found that the guilt of the defendant
was not proved, and passed an acquitting verdict," a court spokesman
told ITAR-TASS on Friday.
Two young men attacked Sardaryan, 19, in a commuter train bound from
Moscow to Sofrino from ethnic hate.
One of them stabbed Sardaryan with a knife in the neck five times,
from which the youth died on the spot.
The identity of the other attacker was not established.
