DIRECTORS OF ARMENIAN HISTORY MUSEUM AND PARAJANOV HOUSE-MUSEUM AWARDED
HONORARY TITLE OF HONORED FIGURE

YEREVAN, JUNE 4, NOYAN TAPAN. For great services in the issue of
development of native culture, on the occasion of Holiday of Armenia,
by RA President’s decree, Director of Armenian History Museum Anelka
Sargsian and Director of S. Parajanov House-Museum Zaven Sargsian were
awarded honorary title of Honored Figure. On June 1, RA Minister of
Culture and Youth Affairs Hasmik Poghosian handed them cetificates of
honorary titles.

In H. Poghosian’s words, Anelka Sargsian and Zaven Sargsian have a
considerable contribution in the issue of development of museums. And
the Ministry, in her words, does its best to improve the conditions of
museums functioning in Armenia.

The Director Parajanov House-Museum said that museums present country’s
face, as tourists’ first impressions about this or that country are
formed by means of the very museums. In Z. Sargsian’s words, care and
state assistance is needed for keeping the museums.

To recap, Parajanov House-Museum and Armenian History Museum took part
in events held within the framework of Year of Armenia in France.
Unique samples of History Museum and film director’s collages were
presented in different cities of France.
