ON JUNE 1, 55 THOUSAND SCHOOL-LEAVERS TAKE AN EXAM IN ARMENIAN LANGUAGE, LITERATURE

YEREVAN, JUNE 1, NOYAN TAPAN. On June 1, for the first time the final
and united exam on Armenian Language, Literature subject started at
10 a.m. for over 55 thousand school-leavers in all RA institutions
of general education and 55 examination centers. About 35 thousand
school-leavers took the exam by the final system (only level A)
and 15 thousand by the united one (level A and B).
The examination process in schools and examination centers was
supervised by the organizers chosen by casting of lots and by entitled
people from Estimation and Testing Center. Heads of the united centers
are mainly school headmasters. 5020 school-leavers took their exam in
19 united examination centers of Yerevan. Among regions the greatest
index was recorded in Shirak: 1460 leavers in 4 examination centers,
1260 in Lori in 5 centers. By 720 leavers took an exam in Tavush and
Syunik in 4 and 3 united centers, respectively, 990 in 4 centers in
the region of Armavir, 660 in 3 centers in Aragatsotn and 920 pupils
in 4 centers in Ararat. 4 examination centers were chosen in Kotayk
and Gegharkunik where 1020 and 1080 leavers respectively took their
exam by the united system. The fewest leavers taking a united exam
in Armenian Language, Literature" were recorded in Vayots Dzor –
300 school-leavers.
The united examination lasted 3 hours and the final one 100
minutes. The united examination results will be clear in 5-6 days and
those who take final state examination will learn their marks before
the end of school-leaving examinations June 20.
