YEREVAN, JUNE 6, NOYAN TAPAN. As Chairman of Marxist Party of Armenia
David Hakobian affirmed, in negotiations over Nagorno Karabakh problem
Armenia should come up from positions of creation of second Armenian
state, Nagorno Karabakh Republic. David Hakobian stated at the June
6 press conference that Nagorno Karabakh war by its character was
national-liberation and as not the regular army, but home guardsman
army was involved in that struggle, this can be quite considered as
a patriotic war.
In D. Hakobian’s words, first President of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosian
"resigned with knight nobleness, as he was loosing the diplomatic
struggle."
After his resignation, in Marxist’s words, "Karabakh vikings came
to power with bayonets of Yerkrapahs (defenders of the land)." Now,
the speaker stressed, the issue of ceding seven liberated areas to
Azerbaijani side is on the negotiations table and RA authorities
"beg to leave to them even if Lachin." As the leader of Marxist Party
affirmed, ceding these territories will mean to cede Karabakh. And
unless the Armenian authorities understand all this, they "should
make a full political capitulation, leave and give up their place to
experienced people."
D. Hakobian said that Marxists name 2007 parliamentary elections
"Asian farce," "chain of state crimes when the power is put on sale
in the street."
The newly elected National Assembly, as D. Hakobian qualified, will
be "as oligophrenic, dull-brained and weak-minded" as the previous
one. He added that the Electoral Code should be changed before the
presidential elections for avoiding such "disgraceful things" in the
future. And the opposition, as D. Hakobian forecast, will fail to
come up with a single candidate for presidency.
