ALEKSANDR CHERTOGANOV: I AM INTERESTED IN VICTORY OVER ARMENIA NOT IN MATCH VENUE

Azeri Press Agency, Azerbaijan
June 8 2007

"Before the match against Kazakhstan we considered the draw a good
result. But taking all happenings into consideration one point is
not satisfactory", Azerbaijan squad and Neftchi midfielder Aleksandr
Chertoganov told APA-Sport.

27-year-old legionnaire explained the failure in last two matches
with inexperience.

"The matches with Poland and Kazakhstan were similar. In both matches,
we opening the scoring and were ahead before the break. But we lose
the victory in second half with missed goals. The draw shouldn’t be
considered satisfactory for us because we missed the goal after a
rival footballer received red card. We still lack experience to play
in international matches. Besides, after a goal we should thing about
the second, not to defend ourselves", he said.

Ukrainian footballer is optimistic for coming matches against Armenia.

"Azerbaijan and Armenia are the teams in equal level. Success in
such matches of principle will depend on the will of the parties. I
am not interested in the venue of the match. The main objective is
to gain victory for Azerbaijan", he said.
