Today the Central Electoral Commission convened a plenary
session. Under a CEC decision by-election will be held at Precinct
15 on August 26.

To remind, Republican Khachik Manukyan was nominated at the
above-mentioned precinct on the majoritarian ticket. He resigned
from the mandate and explained his withdrawal by "election frauds
and public mistrust."

Khachik Manukyan will be nominated again.

Feliks Khachatryan, the representative of the Justice Bloc to the CEC,
reminded that the 26 candidates running on the majoritarian ticket of
the Republican Party, had already submitted applications and resigned
from their mandates.

According to Manukyan, the applications had no date.

This is a mere breach of the Electoral Code. Under Article 111 a deputy
can resign from the mandate ten days before the elections. Party-lists
cannot be subjected to changes after the voting, Manukyan said.
