RPA SPOKESMAN: DEMOCRACY AND SHOOT-OUTS ARE INCOMPATIBLE NOTIONS

The Republican Party of Armenia strongly condemns the shoot-out
that took place in Vagarshapatlast night, says RPA spokesman Eduard
Sharmazanov.

He says that all political forces, irrespective of their views and
ideologies, condemn such incidents. "Democracy and shoot-outs are
incompatible notions. Unfortunately, such incidents happen even in
the most democratic states," says Sharmazanov.

According to the official version, during the skirmish some Armen
Hovsepyan, 39, wounded Samvel Petrossyan, 50. The skirmish took place
between the supporters of retired general, MP Seyran Saroyan (whose
candidacy was supported by RPA) and the supporters of parliamentary
candidate Hakop Hakopyan.

Nobody has been detained yet. The investigation is underway.
