NEW PASTORS FROM SAMTSKHE AND NINOTSMINDA REGIONS INTRODUCED

AKHALKALAK, JUNE 13, NOYAN TAPAN – ARMENIANS TODAY. On June 9 a holy
mass took place in St. Gregory the Illuminator’s church in Akhaltskha
and 27-year-old Manuk Zeynalian (from Armavir), the newly-elected
pastor of Samtskhe, was introduced. Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanian,
Head of the Virahayots diocese, conducted the holy mass and presented
the priest to the inhabitants of Akhaltskha. Father Babken Salbiyan,
pastor of Samtskhe-Javakhk, was also present at the holy mass. The
ex-priest Shmavon will continue his sacred service in Tbilisi.
According to Noyan Tapan’s information provided by A-Info, a holy
mass took place in St. Sargis church on June 10 in the village of
Khojabek in the region of Ninotsminda, and Armash Poghosian, the
newly-elected pastor of the Ninotsminda region, was introduced. He
is 26 years old and has just graduated from the Gevorgian Seminary of
Etchmiadzin. The holy mass was conducted by Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanian,
Head of the Virahayots diocese.
Babgen Salbiyan, pastor of Samtskhe-Javaghk, and Samvel Torosian from
the region of Akhalkalak were also present. The ex-priest Yeghia of
the Ninotsminda region will move to the Tsalka region.
