WASHINGTON, JUNE 13, NOYAN TAPAN – ARMENIANS TODAY. The Turkish
government has adopted a "too active" policy in regard to the
resolution of the Armenian Genocide in US Congress. This statement
was made by Egemen Baghsh, a member of the parliamentary delegation
composed of the MPs of the Turkish Justice and Development ruling
party, who was in Washington on an official visit.

Within the framework of the visit to Washington the delegation
considered the discussions with regard to the resolution of the
Armenian Genocide in Congress primary. "We should take our actions
against the resolution on the Armenian Genocide right now and not
when the bill appears on the agenda," declared MP Baghsh.

On June 11-16 the delegation will meet with Congressmen and
representatives of other state institutions. Discussions are envisaged
on some issues concerning North Iraq and the Kurdistan Workers Party
(PKK).
