NKR CEC REGISTERED THE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES

NKR Central Electoral Commission today registered all five
presidential candidates – Deputy of the National Assembly Armen
Abgaryan, lecturer of the Artsakh State University Vanya Avanesyan,
Deputy Foreign Minister Masis Mailyan, leader of the Communist Party
Hrant Melkumyan, Head of the Natioanl Security Service Bako Sahakyan.
ArmInfo correspondent informs from Stepanakert that the decision
was taken during today’s sitting of the Commission. Let us remind
that all the candidates, except Hrant Melkumyan, were nominated on
public initiative.
The election campaign will start on June 20. President of the NKR
Central electoral Commission Sergey Nasibyan said 2007 precincts
have already been formed, only one of which will be situated outside
Karabakh in the NKR Permanent Representation in Armenia. All in all,
the number of enfranchised voters totals about 90 thousand.
