VARTAN OSKANIAN RECEIVED MEMBERS OF THE FACT-FINDING MISSION OF THE CAUCASIAN-CASPIAN COMMISSION

June 14 RA Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian received members of the
Fact-Finding Mission of the Caucasian-Caspian Commission, who arrived
in Armenia as part of a regional visit.
Presenting the Commission’s activity, member of the delegation George
Reid noted that the civil initiative targeted at promoting the
cooperation between the Black-Sea region and European structures,
present new initiatives for launching regional cooperation. The
President of the Commission is the Foreign Minister of Slovenia
Dmitri Rupel.
The interlocutors exchanged views on issues hindering regional
cooperation.
The Commission came forth with the initiative to organize the meeting
of the Foreign Ministers of the three South Caucasian countries.
At the end of the meeting the guests informed that the Commission
will issue a report, which will focus on the issues of resolution of
conflicts in the South Caucasus, regional cooperation, cooperation
within international organizations, particularly the involvement in
the European Union.
