Armenian Employers Forecast 5.5% Growth In Number Of Jobs This Year

ARMENIAN EMPLOYERS FORECAST 5.5% GROWTH IN NUMBER OF JOBS THIS YEAR

Most of Armenian employers forecast 5.5% growth in the number of
jobs this year. Almost 23% expect 10% growth, say the results of the
survey conducted by Ameria consulting company in the framework of a
WB-sponsored project.

11% of employers expect 20% rise in wages. The head of the management
consulting department of Ameria Gagik Sahakyan says that most of
employers expect growing activity on the labor market and hope that
this will have a positive effect on trade, industry and services.

Concerning disabled and socially disadvantaged people, the survey
has shown that the Armenian employers are ready to employ such people
provided that they have necessary professional qualities. Meanwhile,
only 12.6% of them have higher education. One more requirement is
computer skills.
