YEREVAN, JUNE 19, NOYAN TAPAN. No one among 23 parties and 1 bloc
having participated in the May 12 parliamentary elections by the
proportional system has committed any significant violation when
using the resources of the pre-electoral funds. Ara Haroutiunian,
the Head of the Control Service attached to the CEC, reported at the
June 19 sitting of Central Electoral Commission.
A. Haroutiunian opposed the observation of the Ardarutiun bloc
representative Felix Khachatrian that, according to the data of
Transparency International international organization, Bargavach
Hayastan and Republican Party of Armenia surpassed the limit of 60m
drams permitted by law saying that the above mentioned organization
was guided by "supposed figures."
Their service, as A. Haroutiunian stated, is the only one, which has
official and reliable data. In his words, the permitted amount of money
has been violated only by nearly 50 thousand drams (nearly 140 USD),
"which is not significant," by four candidates having participated
in the elections by the majoritarian system.
The CEC accepted the results on pre-electoral expenditures presented
by the Control Service with a correlation of 6 votes in favor and
1 opposed.
