VARTAN OSKANIAN: THERE ARE NO PROBLEMS BETWEEN ARMENIA AND THE US

No problems exist between Armenia and the United States connected with
the reinforcement of Yerevan-Tehran relations, RA Foreign Minister
Vartan Oskanian told the journalists today, commenting on the recent
statement by US Charge d’Affaires Anthony Godfrey that the US is
concerned over the reinforcement of relations between Armenia and Iran.
In his words, Armenia has good relations with all the countries,
especially its neighbors, and there is no reason to worry. At the
same time the Minister noted he does not know in what context Anthony
Godfrey made the statement.
"Dialogue has been established between the US and Armenia on all kind
of issues – political, economic and security matters. All the questions
are discussed in this framework," declared the Foreign Minister,
rejecting any suggestion about tension in Armenia-US relations.
