RACE DEDICATED TO INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIC DAY TO BE HELD IN YEREVAN ON JUNE 23

YEREVAN, JUNE 22, NOYAN TAPAN. "Olympic racing day" will be organized
in all countries across the world on June 23 under the patronage of
the International Olympic Committee. On this occasion Jack Rogen,
the Chairman of the International Olympic Committee, sent a massage to
the Armenian National Olympic Committee. The massage runs as follows:
"The young and the elderly, men and women on the five continents
of the Planet mark the occasion of the modern Olympic Games’ birth
through racing." The Chairman of the International Olympic Committee
believes that a race unites the young, in particular, and gives them
an opportunity to lead a healthy and balanced life.
"Race – 2007" dedicated to the International Olympic Day in Yerevan
is organized and held by the Armenian National Olympic Committee. It
will start at 10pm with a route starting from Republic square to
Amirian street – Mashtots avenue – underground passage – Bridge of
Victory – finishing at the southern play-field of the Hrazdan sports
ground. Cycling is also included in the program. All the race amateurs
above 14, as well as disabled people, can take part in the race. The
winners of the race with five age groups will be awarded diplomas and
souvenirs of the Armenian National Olympic Committee. In addition to
this, all the participants of the race will receive certificates and
sports shirts of the International Olympic Committee.
