Member of the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE Ganira Pashayeva submitted
a written application to the Committee of Ministers of the Council
of Europe blaming Armenia for neglect of EU notifications on the
elections in NKR.

As the website of PACE reports, the application "Armenia’s
compliance with the Council of Europe position on the conflict
over Nagorno-Karabakh, including elections", presented by the
Azerbaijani parliamentarian as a working document at PACE summer
session, says, in particular: "The OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs have
on numerous occasions stated that "elections" carried out by the
separatist regime in NKR have no legal effect and can negatively
affect the resolution process. However, this position, as well as
declared approach of the CE Committee of Ministers and the Council’s
leadership on both previous and upcoming polls in NK, continue to be
ignored by the official Yerevan. This is especially troubling after
the recent meeting between the presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia
in St.Petersburg, which can be defined as tense and complicated".

Taking into account the above-stated, G. Pashayeva addressed the
Committee of Ministers of CE, having urged to give legal and political
assessment to the actions of the Armenian party. To note, G. Pashayeva,
remarkable for her desire to blame Armenia for all the deadly sins,
has missed one small but important detail – Armenia is not responsible
for the political events, in particular, for conducting of elections
in Nagorno Karabakh.
