Yerevan, 26 June: In the next five years, the Armenian government
will pay special attention at resolving social and economic problems
accumulated in the past years, Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan said
today at the National Assembly [parliament] when presenting the
cabinet’s programme.

He said that following the 12 May parliamentary election and as
a result of political consultations with the key political forces
represented in the fourth National Assembly, a political coalition
had been formed that set up the republic’s cabinet. The cabinet,
Sargsyan said, commits to carry out united policies with applying
all the efforts possible. "The government faces a hard task. Having
overcome the economic crisis, complex social conflicts, party and
ideological differences, we are beginning to build a new life. As a
result, today, the quality of life the country’s citizens is changing
for better, although slowly," he said.

Sargsyan added that he sees a secure and deserved future for Armenia
with an opportunity for all to reveal their capacities.
