MUSIC LOUDLINESS EXCEEDS PERMITTED NORM AT 4 OUT OF 8 PUBLIC CATERING ENTITIES CHECKED IN YEREVAN

YEREVAN, JUNE 25, NOYAN TAPAN. Violations, in particular, music
loudliness exceeding the permitted norm, have been registered in four
out of eight public catering entities checked over the last month
in Yerevan. As Karen Gevorgian, the Head of the Trade and Service
Department of Yerevan Mayor’s Office, reported at the June 25 press
conference, the checkings were mainly conducted on the basis of
citizens’ complaints. In K. Gevorgian’s words, administrative fines
in the amount of 30-40 thousand drams (nearly 67-112 USD) were imposed
on the owners of the above mentioned four entities.

The head of the department also touched upon issues of organization
of mourning accessories’ sale. He said that according to RA law On
Funeral, sale of these accessories will be permitted only in stalls
with darkened glasses, as well as in territories near cemeteries. And
catafalques, according to the law, should park only in Arshakunyats,
18 and in territories near cemeteries, as well as should have a proper
permit for transporting a corpse.
