Over 2500 Children Will Rest At Summer Camps In Karabakh

OVER 2500 CHILDREN WILL REST AT SUMMER CAMPS IN KARABAKH

On July 1 summer camps open in several parts in Karabakh. 7-14 year-old
children of killed azatamartiks, parentless children, children of
underprivileged families will rest at the summer camps. Daytime camps
will be opened at schools 2, 5, 9, 10 of Stepanakert, 350 children will
spend 20 days at the camps. Another 300 children will have a holiday
at the Vardanank camp under the NKR ministry of education. In the
region of Askeran summer camps will open at the secondary schools
of Avetaranots and Badara. Over 100 children will spend 10 days
there. Another 50 children will spend 12 days at the camp of the
village of Khndzristan. Daytime camps will open at school 1 of Martuni
and Khachatur Abovyan School of Shushi for 200 children. 300 children
will stay at the camps of the villages of Karmir Shuka, Mets Taghlar,
Vank, Haterk.

All in all, 1300 schoolchildren will rest at camps.

Besides the government-funded camps, the Armenian Evangelical Society
also carries out a project of summer vacation of children. From
June 8 400 children rested at the Karkar camp of Stepanakert. Over
600 teenagers from Armenia and Karabakh will go to the summer camp
in Shushi from July 2 to August 2 in five groups. Arsen Manasyan,
the representative of the Stepanakert office of the society, said
the society will hold 5-day camps in the neighborhoods of Shushi and
Askeran and include over 200 children.

Overall, the Armenian Evangelical Society will sponsor the summer
vacation of 1220 children.
