RA Prime Minister Serge Sargsyan had a meeting with the President of
the Republic of Greece Karolos Papoulias who is paying a state visit
to Armenia, Government’s Information and Public Relations Department
informs.

Greeting the Greek President and members of the delegation headed by
him, the Prime Minister noted that the Armenian Government is willing
to take every effort for the accomplishment of the agreements reached
between the Presidents of Armenia and Greece for the sake of the two
countries and the friendly Armenian and Greek nations. Serge Sargsyan
expressed gratitude for the assistance to our country in various
spheres, emphasizing the cooperation and support in the military
sphere. The Prime Minister attached importance to the enlargement
and further development of this partnership, especially in a period,
when Armenia is executing an Individual Partnership Action Plan with
NATO and the experience and support of Greece can be of great use.

President Karolos Papoulias appreciated not only the high level of
bilateral political relations, but also the interested cooperation
between Armenia and Greece on the international arena. He noted
that his country has certain experience in European integration and
activity in the Euro-Atlantic framework and is ready to help Armenia
on the way of accomplishment of foreign policy priorities.

The parties stressed the importance of the Armenian-Greek
Intergovernmental Commission in the development of economic
cooperation.
