NKR REQUIRES THAT CRISIS MONITORING BE HELD IN CONNECTION WITH ARSONS MADE BY AZERI PARTY

DeFacto Agency, Armenia
June 28 2007

Yesterday the Nagorno-Karabagh MFA delivered a note to Ambassador
Andrzey Kasprzyk, OSCE Chair-in-Office’s Personal Representative
expressing concern over numerous cases of arsons made by Azeri
party on the territories situated along NKR and Azeri armed forces’
contact line.

According to the information DE FACTO received at NKR MFA Press
Office today, the note runs, in part, " taking into consideration
damage fires caused to the Republic’s economy and environment and
threat to human health and security last year, the NKR MFA urged the
Office of the OSCE Chair-in-Office’s Personal Representative to hold
a crisis monitoring of the borderline zone".

NKR MFA expressed hope that that timely interference of the Office
of OSCE Chair-in-Office’s Personal Representative "will allow to
avoid the repetition of last year’s situation, which was, in part,
used by Azeri authorities for propaganda and became an additional
factor destabilizing peace process".
