ARMENTEL COMPANY BECOMES THE WORLD SERVER COMPANY

ArmenTel company that enters the group of Vimpelcom companies will
become the world server company, vice-president of Vimpelcom Dmitriy
Pleskanos told journalists in Yerevan, Friday.
He also added that at present G3 system is being introduced in Armenia
thanks to which there will be an opportunity of quick getting of the
"multimedia service" of mobile communication and Internet. We shall
also have an opportunity of video telephone, video calls and mobile
television using. Asked by ArmInfo correspondent about application of
the convergence system in Armenia, Pleskanos called to have patience,
as first, one problem should be settled then another one. He also
added that in general Vimpelcom is pleased with buying the ArmenTel
and thinks that the bargain with the Greek OTE is a non-partisan one.
For his part, director general of CJSC ArmenTel Oleg Bliznyuk said
that by the end of 2008 the company intends to become the best server
company of Armenia. They are going to take measures for making the
mobile communication possible even in the underground.
