SIX PEOPLE KILLED BY TURKISH POLICEMEN DURING LAST WEEK: ONE OF
POLICEMEN COMMITS SUICIDE
ARDVIN, JULY 5, NOYAN TAPAN. Ahmed Ishan Ayan, a collaborator of the
police, killed his wife, his son, and two fellow-workers in the Murgul
region of Ardvin on July 3. Another policeman killed a woman in Manisa.

Ahmed Ishan Ayan, a 38 year-old policeman, killed his colleague, the
34-year-old Zuhtu Avshar, discharging all the bullets of the ammunition
belt of his official pistol upon her for unknown reasons at 23:30
Turkish time on July 3. After this case the 38-year-old policeman was
detained and brought to the police station.
The police interrogated Ahmed Ishan Ayan throughout the night and
decided to inform his wife about this case. When they entered Ayan’s
appartment, they discovered the corpses of his wife, the 33 year-old
Sibel Ayan, and his son, the 5 year-old Oguzhan Ayan, with numerous
fire-arm injuries.
On the ocassion of this case the police collaborators decided to
interrogate the neighbour of the murderer policeman, who was also a
policeman, the 31 year-old Suleyman Kaygszin. However, they found the
latter’s corpse. It is mentioned that the author of this murder is the
same person: Ahmed Ishan Ayan, the 38 year-old policeman. The police
continues the investigation in order to reveal the reasons for the
murders.
At the same time, it is mentioned that another policeman killed a 31
year-old woman in Manisa with his official pistol, then committed
suicide with the same pistol.
It should also be mentioned that about a week ago a 20-year-old young
man was killed by a policeman during an argument in Istanbul.
