The Armenian professional boxer and IBF World Champion Vakhtang was
beaten by Nonito Doner on July 8. He was down for the count in the
fifth round.
Vakhtang Darchinyan was considered the favorite of the meeting as he
had suffered no defeat during his professional career.
Nonito Doner is Glen Doner’s younger brother. In 2006 Darchinyan
beat Glen Doner by breaking his jaw. The brother’s defeat made a deep
impression on Nonito Doner who decided to take revenge on Darchinyan.
Nonito Doner caught everyone unawares beating the world champion.
