YEREVAN, JULY 9, NOYAN TAPAN. Albert Atchemian, a member of the ARF
Bureau, declared at the opening ceremony of the Yerevan museum held on
July 6 that ARF Dashnaktsutiun has aimed at opening its museum since
the 1940s, but then during the years of the Soviet Union that was
impossible. According to him, the ashes of ancestors of the members
of the ARF Dashnaktsutiun party can rest in their graves, since the
valuable relics concerning the history of the ARF Dashnaktsutiun
brought from the Diaspora will, henceforth, be kept and exhibited in
the native country.
The maiden exhibition of the museum is dedicated to the history of the
first Republic of Armenia: the personal belongings, clothes, documents,
and contracts of the state politicians of those times are exhibited.
According to Hayk Demoyan, the Head of the museum-instituiton of the
Armenian Genocide, the museum of the ARF Dashnaktsutiun will play a
great role in the raising of future generations.
