/PanARMENIAN.Net/ The international terrorism is a serious threat and
challenge for the world community, Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister
Arman Kirakossian stated at the international conference titled
"Providing Training for Fight against International Terrorism"
currently being held in Yerevan. He said, today’s terrorists are
adapting to new conditions, and countries that want to root up this
evil must do the same. "Currently coordinated efforts are needed to
eliminate threats to the civilization. Armenia says that with a view
of security it is necessary to cooperate with international structures
and first of all with NATO. It is impossible to fight against terrorism
alone," Kirakossian underlined.
The Armenian Deputy FM stressed, Armenia joined the "Partnership
Action Plan against Terrorism" NATO program with the above-mentioned
goal. Arman Kirakossian reminded that in 2002 a seminar was held
in Armenia titled "Fighting International Terrorism: Perspectives
of Regional Cooperation". He also noted in issues concerning fight
against terrorism Armenia successfully cooperates with NATO, CSTO
and other CIS member-states.
