Yerevan, July 13 /Mediamax/. General Director of "ArmenTel" Oleg
Bliznyuk stated in Yerevan today that the Company works to implement
modern equipment for mobile and fixed networks and will present it
to the public by the end of the year.
Answering the questions of the journalists today, Oleg Bliznyuk stated
that the new billing system of "ArmenTel" mobile network will start
working after July 15 and will "absolutely correctly count the money
of the subscribers". Moreover, the new system will allow "ArmenTel"
providing new services and offering new tariff plans.
Commenting on Mediamax’s request on yesterday’s statement of the
General Director of VivaCell mobile operator Ralph Yirikian, according
to which ""ArmenTel" implements new services only after we do so",
Oleg Bliznyuk noted that two operators entered the market with the
service of GPRS mobile internet at the same time, however "ArmenTel"
preferred to spend more time on testing, before announcing the
commercial launching.
Commenting on another statement of Ralph Yirikian, Oleg Bliznyuk said
that for now, the exclusive right for providing services of third
generation (3G) connection in Armenia belongs to "ArmenTel" Company.
Oleg Bliznyuk stated that at present the issue of carrying out a
re-branding of "ArmenTel" is not urgent. According to him, one should
pay more attention to "ArmenTel" brand, which is ambiguously perceived
by a certain part of the population.
""ArmenTel" brand is the national property of Armenia, and today,
more urgent is the issue of changing the attitude of the society
towards the given brand", Head of the Company stated.
