Russia withdraws more troops from Georgia

The 11th troop train will leave the 12th Russian military base in
Batumi (Georgia) for Russia on July 12, 2007. According to the
Russian Defense Ministry, the train is to carry 44 vehicles of over
400 tonnes. The next train is expected to depart in the second half
of July 2007. All in all, 8 trains and a motor column are to be
dispatched from the military base to Russia or the 102nd military
base in Gyumri, Armenia, before the year-end. The 12th Russian
military base in Batumi is to be closed in 2008.
