3M EUROS NEEDED FOR RELAUNCHING OF KARAKERT STONE CASTING FACTORY

YEREVAN, JULY 16, NOYAN TAPAN. In case of investments of 3m euros
the relaunching of Armavir region’s Karakert stone casting factory
will be possible in 4-5 months. Suren Gevorgian, the Chairman of the
factory’s Board of Directors, said this on July 13, at the sitting of
the department of chemical sciences and sciences regarding the country
of the RA National Academy of Sciences. In his words, in case of the
respective investments the factory can produce over 1m cubic meters
heat-insulators of 500m USD, and the annual profit will make 4-5m
USD. He also said that the factory, which has not been operating for
already 14 years, formerly produced accid-resistant firm basalt slabs,
tubes, pearlite heat-insulators.
Academician Aram Shahinian, the Secretary of the department of chemical
sciences and sciences regarding the country of the RA National
Academy of Sciences, said that the National Academy of Sciences,
being the only center of scientific potential in Armenia, decided to
play a more active role in scientific-applied spheres, in particular,
in the issue of reprocession of non-metallic raw materials. In his
words, the supplies of non-metallic raw materials are almost endless
in Armenia, and the production received is of much demand both in
Armenia and abroad.
