Davtashen Community doesn’t have a trash dump, therefore people have
turned the area between the first and second districts into a rubbish
heap for building refuse.
Besides rubble, one can come across old refrigerators, gas ovens, etc.
A few days ago the residents were caught unawares by a sudden
explosion. Foam containers dumped in the area began to explode one
after another.
"We were sitting at home when all of a sudden there was a loud
explosion. Coming up to the window we saw a smoke," resident Hasmik
told A1+.
Some residents state the fire was caused by children others – by the
sun. Fortunately none of the passers-by was hurt.
The note on containers warns against burning them after the
usage. Containers must be kept away from direct sunlight as the smoke
is toxic and dangerous for health.
Hrant Badalyan, a chief specialist of Davtashen Community, informed
A1+ that containers aren’t dangerous.
Four specialists attended the sight with A1+’s correspondent to study
the containers.
It is noteworthy that the area will soon be planted with trees and
turned into a garden.
