UN Security Council will today discuss the Kosovo case regulation
formula project. Rapturous announcements on Kosovo’s freedom attaining
possibilities are made within diplomatic frameworks. Politicians and
analysts think Kosovo case can be precedental for NKR regulation. RA
opposing parties though do not share that enthusiasm. As to
"Republic" party Civil Council member Suren Surenyants Kosovo cannot
be precedental as far as its freedom apologists have already fixed
its being non precedental. Any conflict has its peculiarities and
origination reasons, consequently they can’t be viewed within the
same batch. According to Surenyants RA diplomats should gurantee
the regulation of NKR conflict ,at the same time being pragmatic,
as mechanical regulations will not work in this case.
"Though all countries state it the case is impossible to be a
precedent, all the countries defending the nations identification
international right will anyhow influence on the process" , says
Armenian People’s Party member Ruzan Khachatryan. "That will first of
all has moral and psychological influence. If we go back to history
we will see that fates of many countries have been decided at the
result of the precedent influence. We should not exclude that in case
of Kosovo freedom it won’t spread and won’t be legally stated on NKR
conflict regulation case. She added that in any ways Kosovo freedom
will be an important event for Armenia and NKR".
Deputy chairman of Armenian Pan-National Movement Andranik Hovakimyan
treats the Kosovo freedom attaining possibility distrustfully. "If
Kosovo attains freedom, then there will rise numerous other problems
not only for NKR regulation but also for other conflicts regulation
processes in the world as well", he mentions. He advises that
diplomats should implement serious measures instead of adhering to the
precedents. "It is very important who leads the negotiations. Skilful
negotiators are needed for making Kosovo a precedent and proving that",
summarized the chairman.
