U.S. TO PROVIDE 8.4M USD FOR DEVELOPMENT OF ARMENIAN FINANCIAL, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES AND TOURISM SPHERES WITHIN COMING ONE YEAR

YEREVAN, JULY 17, NOYAN TAPAN. The U.S. government, besides the
assistance envisaged within the framework of the Millennium Challenge
program, is going to provide 8.4m USD to Armenia within coming one
year, within the framework of the Armenian economic development
assistance programs. Rudolf Perina, the U.S. Charge d’Affaires to
Armenia, said this on July 16, during the ceremony of signing an
agreement between the USAID and the European Bank for Reconstruction
and Development (EBRD) on assistance provided to the EBRD Business
Advisory Services program for Armenia.
In R. Perina’s words, the above mentioned assistance will be aimed,
in particular, at development of Armenian financial, information
technologies, tourism spheres.
