Presidential election in Nagornyy Karabakh were held brightly,
Armenian President Robert Kocharyan told journalists at the ceremony
of surfing-center opening at the Lake of Sevan.

authorities were attentively observing the course of the election
but they did not meddle in them over the entire election campaign. ,
Kocharyan said. He also said that one should not draw much attention
to the so-called recognition or non-recognition of the results
of NKR presidential election by the world community. , – he said
and added despite the world community reiterating that it does not
recognize these election, holding of fair and democratic elections
is an important step on the way of Nagornyy Karabakh recognition.

To recall, according to the results of the presidential election
ex-head of the NKR National Security Service Bako Sahakyan, which
gathered more than 80% votes, was elected the Karabakh president.
