THE ARMENIAN-IRANIAN RELATIONS ARE NOT DIRECTED AGIANST ANY THIRD
COUNTRY, STATES IRANIAN FOREIGN MINISTER
YEREVAN, JULY 20, NOYAN TAPAN. This year the visit to of the Preisdent
of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to Armenia is
scheduled. On July 20 the IRI Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki
told the journalists about this in Yerevan.
Commenting on the statement of one of the American diplomats, according
to whom, the U.S. is concerned about the Armenian-Iranian economic
ties, M.
Mottaki noted that the Armenian-Iranian relations are not directed
against any third country, and they emanate from the interest of the
two countries.
Therefore, he believes that no third country must allow itself to
interfere into the relations of another country.
As to the nuclear program of Iran, Minister of Energy of the Republic
of Armenia Armen Movsisian noted that Armenia respects the right of
the Iranian people to have opportunities of using nuclear energy for
peaceful purposes.
