"What is admissible for some must also be admissible for others. There
are international standards, which should be met. There are
no rights for some and half-rights for others",- Deputy of the
Republic of Abkhazia Parliament Batal Kobakhia, who participated
in the presidential election in Nagorno Karabakh as international
observer, told ArmInfo correspondent in Stepanakert. "We have to state
that international standards are never applied in a unified way,
especially in regard to weak and unrecognized entities, or those,
which greatly depend on strong players in the international arena. In
the given situation one can welcome Russian initiative to discuss
the Kosovo issue and its resolving, which passes onto other similar
problems", B. Kobakhia noted. He said "we, nonetheless, expect that
the resolving of Kosovo issue will relieve tension in many respects
in the negotiating process with all the players".
