IRAN BACKS AZERBAIJAN-ARMENIA NEGOTIATIONS OVER KARABAKH

TEHRAN, July 23 (ISNA)-Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman said the
Islamic Republic of Iran supported solving the Karabakh problem
through negotiations.

Mohammad Ali Husseini, regarding Iran foreign ministry’s stance
over the Karabakh elections said, "Iran believes solving the dispute
will be a leap forward in the process of establishing security and
development in the region."

"In this frame work, we recognize the sovereignty right of other
countries, including Azerbaijan and support the recent talks between
the Azerbaijani and Armenian presidents."

Husseini emphasized that Iran offered the two countries its aid so
to resolve the disagreement in any possible way.
