30 COMPANIES WITH 700 EMPLOYEES TO OPERATE AT VIASPHERE TECHNOPARK

YEREVAN, JULY 31, NOYAN TAPAN. Starting from August 1, Synopsys
Armenia company will operate in Viasphere Technopark’s new building,
whose A-category office, production and educational area has the
opportunity to hold up to 600 employees and 200 students. A total of
30 enterprises with 700 jobs will be located at Viasphere Technopark,
the technoparks’ director general Aram Vardanian told NT correspondent.
To recap, Viasphere Technopark was created 6 years ago in the
territory of the Transistor Scientific and Production Enterprise’s
Yerevan Research Center. According to A. Vardanian, it is envisaged
that its former club will be turned into a conference hall. Besides,
a parking lot for up to 200 cars will be built, which will complete
the work on formation of the technopark’s infrastructure complex in
line with international standards.
A. Vardanian said that Armenian and Armenian-Austrian enterprises
that develop software used in cash machines and the banking sector
started to operate at Viasphere Technopark a year ago. Besides,
companies engaged in development of software, semiconductor integrated
chips, laser technologies and high-frequency equipment, as well as
development of solar energy transformation technology, in particular,
energy saving technologies, are operating at Viasphere Technopark,
and their efficiency depends on their cooperation. These companies
operate not only with Armenian capital but also US, Canadian, French
and Russian investment.
The director general said that the technopark’s enterprises have begun
to function outside it (Impossible company) or to merge with other
big companies (Arset comapny has become part of Synopsys Armenia).
