August 03 (Prime-News) – Reserved section of 700-millimetre gas
pipeline will be restored in the nearest future.
Alexander Khetaguri, Director General of Oil and Gas Corporation
of Georgia, stated at briefing on Friday that Georgia will not stay
without gas, due to damage of the gas pipeline, as Georgia is supplied
with Azerbaijani gas.
According to him, this will not hamper supply of gas from Russia to
Armenia, as two lines of gas pipeline are operating.
He also informed that Georgia and Russia are connected with two
pipelines – the main pipeline and the reserve, which is joined by
the third reserve line.
Reserved section of the gas pipeline was damaged last night due to
floods in Mtskheta-Tianeti.
