NUMBER OF LAND PURCHASE AND SALE TRANSACTIONS GROWS BY 26.2% IN ARMENIA IN JANUARY-JUNE 2007 ON SAME PERIOD OF LAST YEAR

YEREVAN, AUGUST 14, NOYAN TAPAN. 11,130 pieces of land (including
763 in Yerevan) were alienated in Armenia in January-June 2007.

According to the RA National Statistical Service, out of the total
number of land alienation transactions conducted in the first half
of this year, 10,506 were sales and purchases, 563 were donations,
and 61 transactions were exchanges. 5,128 alienated pieces of land
were of agricultural significance, including 32 ones in Yerevan.

The number of land sales and purchases grew by 26.2% in the first
half of 2007 on the same period of last year. The number of sales
and purchases of lands of agricultural significance grew by 18.9%.

The greatest number of land sales and purcahses (2,594) was registered
in Kotayk region of Armenia.
